Is Michelle Bachmann beatable? |

How Republican is her district. Can we get her in 2006? There's no legislator I'd love to get rid of more, I want her gone almost as much as Pawlenty and Coleman.

1. A nasty piece of work is Ms. Bachmann. |

Obsessed with gay marriage to the exclusion of almost everything else -- hey, Michelle, dontcha think there are a few more serious problems out there than warrant meddling in the personal lives of some people you don't know but whose presumed sexual activities bother you? Gawd, I can't stand these "moral" politicians who want to snoop in people's bedrooms but who'd cheerfully let a kid go hungry if it would save them $100 in taxes.

2. Rumor says she wants to replace Kennedy in the 6th CD |

should be run against Dayton in 2006. So maybe Patty Wetterling will take care of her for us.
I don't know much about her senate district. But if I remember correctly, the house seat she vacated to run for state Senate was filled by a DFLer for the first time in many years.

I saw the Strib article on her a couple of days ago. She did use to be a ex-Democrat who flip-flopped after Law School and was "born again".
I think the article talked about her parents getting divorced while she was young, which may be internal motivation for her zealotry now. She is trying to prove herself to someone/something/abstract nothing.
