1. Mary Kiffmeyer is vile.
Among other evil things, she did her damnedest to disenfranchise Native Americans by illegally refusing to accept tribal IDs for voter registration -- until a federal judge made her accept them, just a few days before the election. She is a Republican operative of the worst sort; she'd be just like Kenneth Blackwell if she thought she could get away with it. If it weren't for same-day registration she'd have turned us into Ohio. The sooner her sorry ass is voted out of office, the better.

2. Machine compromise
It looks to be a good compromise for the visually handicapped voters.

At least the MN GOP knows that all hell would break loose if they tried to remove the paper ballot requirement.

3. I read about Mary in the City Pages, they ripped her a new one.
They quote her at the Louis Paulo (spelling?) Conservative Christian festal this summer saying "They 5 most dangerous words ever said in America is Separation Of Church And State." Hmmm, seems a lot of people will disagree with you on that Mary. By the way Tim what are you doing having a Conservative Christan festival at the capital and paying for it with tax dollars. Also point out why their was Bush/Cheney 04' booths and pro republican pamphlets going around.

Mary was also compared to Kathleen Harris a lot. I dont know if she would have tried to disenfranchise voters if she though she could get away with it. It is possible.

4. Katherine Harris in the name of the former Florida
Sec. of State, now US Congresswoman.

I had a favorable impression of Mary Kiffmeyer when I met her.

I hand't heard about the separation of church and state thing.

6. In your web page you say...

In your web page you say that you are considering voting for Mary Kiffmeyer.

Please don't vote for her. She's awful.

The City Pages did a series of articles on her anti-democratic antics. The City Pages are available online, so it should be easy enough for you to educate yourself about this truly awful woman and her husband (he was an anti-sex toy freak, if I recall.)

She's a rightwing tool. (And if anybody tries to convince you that Jim Ramstad is a RINO, don't believe that pap either.)

8. Among other nasty beliefs, Kiffmeyer
wants to eliminate same day voter registration. She's vile. Do some research into her politics, you certainly won't vote for her if you know all about her.

11. That is horrible
That is what makes Minnesota so ahead of the curve with voting.

I expect there would be a good public outcry over this if Kiffmeyer proposes this. Many people on both sides of the aisle like this law.
