AAR Minnesota has given Nick Coleman his own morning show!

While I'm going to miss the national Air America morning shows, this is great for progressives in Minnesota - especially with the '06 elections coming up! We now have four hours every morning of progressive talk radio, with MInnesota hosts!

(Coleman just said that "I'm no one's monkey" and cited it as Jon Stewart's words...and credited Stewart with 'taking down that Crossfire show...' now he's talking to a caller about Gov Pawlenty dismantling the MinnesotaCare program...)

Nick Coleman is a progressive columnist for the Star Tribune and has been under direct, continual assault from the right wing, particularly Powerline blog, the winner of Time mags 'blog of the year' award. (Powerline is run by three wingnuts who are Claremont Institute/Richard Mellon Scaife mouthpieces).

On Friday's Al Franken show, Coleman was interviewed and pointed out that Powerline has is working on bringing down Sen. Mark Dayton, as has our governor, Tim Pawlenty, who has his own radio show on Friday mornings. Pawlenty and Powerline also bash the Star Tribune at every opportunity.

'Warp Radio' is their livestream, and is linked on their home page.

I spoke to the general manager of the station who said if people are having reception problems (like they can't get reception inside a brick building), a GE Super Radio will solve that problem.

So yup... no more Mark and Marc. I have XM so I can still listen.
They do some great sketches. The crazed rightwinger that always breaks down crying and the redneck morning show are always hilarious.

I think Nick's show will be good for MN though... especially with the fight for Dayton's seat coming up. It'll be a nasty one I think.

Maybe we could find some place at the Sprawl of America. I only suggest that, not because I like the Mall, but because the train does go there so that might make it easier for some folks to get to the place.
