As of today, I can resume life as a normal human being....
Because I can GO TO THE FRICKIN' GROCERY STORE!!! On a BUS!!!

Anyhow, was anybody else really disturbed by Pawlenty's ripped-off quote regarding the bus strike? It's the one that went something like, "when elephants fight, it's the grass that suffers." I'm NOT a blade of grass, you dipshit. I'm a HUMAN BEING.
:grr:  :argh:
Words cannot express how much I hate that sub-human scumbag...

Anyhow, I just had to vent...And honestly, I don't usually use so many gratuitous caps. :)

And if anybody reading this is a Metro Transit worker, WELCOME BACK!!!! :yourock:

2. No....
I've learned to live with it, so it doesn't really affect me that much anymore. Though it was kind of difficult to find a comfortable position in which to sit on the bus today. :P :spank:

3. that's a kiswahili saying
In Kenya, the traditional sayings of the people, some fairly cynical, are put on their kangas (sort of like sarongs but both men and women wear them). I used to have a link to the various proverbs and sayings put on kangas, and one of the most popular was indeed, "When elephants battle, the grass is trampled," but I can't find the translation into Kiswahili right now.

4. I knew it was ripped off from somewhere....
The sad thing is, I always really liked that quote, and now I'll have to try forgetting that Pawlenty ever said it. I also got the idea from how he used it that he didn't really understand it. (Not that I should be surprised, but...)

5. I hate that sonofabitch Pawlenty...
He is ruining this state really badly right now. It's because of him (and partly that other @$$hole Ventura) that a lot of programs are being cut around the state.

I'm suprised Minnesotans voted for that scumbag...

6. Actually, we barely voted for Pawlenty
He only got like 38% of the vote, which he split three ways with DFLer Roger Moe and ex-DFLer/turncoat/Ventura suckass Tim Penny.

What kills me is the way he's trying to run the state like he has some mandate. He BARELY won, and the Repubs only control the state House. Pawlenty is even having trouble getting his cabinet picks for Transportation and Education confirmed by the state Senate!

The DFL (at least in my Congressional District-- #5) are REALLY energized this year, and ready to kick some serious ass this year. We're gonna retake the state House, and increase our lead in the state Senate, too!

7. I hope so...
I know a lot of people who despise Pawlenty.

Right now I just don't like him and empathizing with those that hate his "freakin' guts". * is still far worse.

9. Pawlenty ain't gonna know what hit him!
The MN GOP has done a good job of throwing gasoline on a slow, smoldering fire with their divise policies and in November, they're gonna get BURNED TO A CRISP!

10. then you will be glad to know...
that during the strike I phoned his office and left a message telling him that he's a shithead. And one of my co-workers called him and told him he's an asshole and told him to get bent and go f*ck himself. Even my hair stylist dislikes him and knows loads of people who absolutely despise him. Things certainly do not look good for Mr. Pisslenty. :bounce:

11. Too bad the 3 day cooling off period doesn't apply to elections
I know people who would have voided their vote for Pawlenty in that 3 days. At least one will never vote Republican again.

8. When elephants fight....
How very apropos. Considering that the Republican emblem is an elephant. And you know how much shit one elephant produces.

12. Elephants
They also are incredible consumers and great at destruction. This a case where sybolism couldn't be more important.
