COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Former Ohio State running back Maurice Clarett remained at the center of a police hunt on Monday, a day after he was accused of holding up two people at gunpoint in the alley behind a bar.
Detectives "are getting some tips on possible locations, we're following up on those. But right now, none of those have proved of value," said Sgt. Michael Woods, a police spokesman.
Police hope Clarett will turn himself in, or that anyone with information on where he is will come forward, Woods said.
Clarett, 22, was wanted on two counts of aggravated robbery. He is accused of flashing a gun and demanding property from a man and a woman behind the Opium Lounge in downtown Columbus shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday...
