Congressman Brown on WCPN at 9 at Wednesday
Congressman Sherrod Brown will be on WCPN 90.3 Wednesday morning starting at 9 AM. People can call in and ask their questions. As you probably know, Brown is running for the U.S. Senate and has been an outstanding advocate of fair trade.

2. Energy & natural gas prices
The bush energy bill had nothing for conservation and alternative energy. IMHO, the energy bill did have some amount of alternative energy funding. My associate at NASA Glenn is aware of several newly funded programs.

3. Detailed, articulate answers to complicated questions
I missed the very beginning of the show, but agreed with a caller from Oberlin who told the interviewer he was being unnecessarily negative. He went from negative to taking on a very hostile stance by the end of the show. The Congressman held his own and then some. Overall, he succeeded in delivering an irrefutably informed and positive message.

4. Sam Fulwood of the PD
He irked me a bit, too. I could have just been being defensive about "my candidate", though. (Gotta consider the psychology.) Sherrod Brown waxed him &the PD pretty good at the end there, saying they (and another media source) did not even contact him before publishing that BS about plagiarism. Sherrod's a tough boy.

Someone called in about energy. Those heating bills can be turned into a campaign issue if we know what we are doing. Seniors unable to buy heat is a profound moral issue, IMHO.

5. Ugly in more than one way
Fulwood also has an editorial in the PD today. Interestingly, he is identified as a "former" PD political writer, working from Ohio University.

Funny, too, that he writes about the "war of the egos."

12. Voinovich has a lot of influence
over Machaskee and Larkin, he's probably pulling as many strings as he can to derail the Brown campaign. One item I read had Brown ahead of Hackett by 29 points.

Sherrod can handle this campaign. He's been an unabashed liberal working with Republicans for years, he knows how to respond to the negative BS.

I wish I had heard it, thanks for the feedback.

WERE 1300AM in Cleveland, live interview,if you can pick it up (5,000 watt station,no stream),on the America's Workforce show.

http://www.awf.cc/guests.html

I didn't hear it this morning so I don't know if host said Brown would be on tomorrow but I know he almoast always is,I know he was the last 2 months. They used to have archived shows on the site, but it looks like they've screwed that up.

couldn't hear the WCPN one this morning, but taped it,sounds good.

Correction-there's a 9/1/05 Sherrod Brown interview-

http://www.awf.cc/archivedshows/september05.html

and a 8/4/05 Sherrod Brown interview-

http://www.awf.cc/archivedshows/august05.html

I can't check if they work right now,no speakers on this computer

the 10/24 Bob Fitrakis interview should be very interesting-

8. I always learn something new...
...anytime I hear him take on journalists. I think he is especially superb when the interviewer is skeptical or hostile.

10. "Blog Hell" (Tim Russo(who?)must be very important,to his dog maybe)

The last place a politician's wife wants to find herself is in the middle of a blog controversy -- especially without an ample supply of ecstasy.

But that's exactly where Plain Dealer columnist Connie Schultz wound up recently, after a blowup at a Christmas shindig for the Ohio Democratic Party.

Schultz was with her husband, Congressman Sherrod Brown, when liberal blogger Tim Russo started cussing the couple out, she says. Schultz, who's as menacing as your Aunt Sally, says she kindly asked Russo to clean up his language and left it at that.

But on his website, BuckeyePolitics.net, Russo reported that Schultz and her hubby "were literally screaming at me for about 5 minutes." On another site, Russo wrote, "yeah, i fucking cursed . . . sorry if it FUCKING ANNOYS YOU, MS. FUCKING PULITZER."...

11. Russo is a bitter harpie
He's angry and vengeful because Sherrod didn't hire him to work on his campaign. Some suspect he is being paid to bash Brown. Recently he got a contract from someone to publish is book he's writing. At the same time he announced someone was paying him to run his blog.

I'd say his career as a Democratic consultant is over.

13. Good.I thought I saw him write some thing complimenting Brown, but then
everytime i'd see something on that Google blog search thing by him about Brown he's obviously trying to wreck him.Maybe the first one wasn't even by him but who needs him?

14. He's an ass hole... Remember how he treated our campaign
in 1996...

Especially after I had help them get their newsletter off the ground....

POS....
