Who should be Strickland's Lt. Governor?
I recently heard an interesting idea -- Ted should select his wife (Frances) as his running mate, with the public understanding that he will replace her on the ticket during the summer after he gets the nomination. The idea is that it gives him more time to select the best Lt. Gov. nominee, and it maintains high interest/drama/publicity as the media speculate on who it will be.

As far as I know, there would be nothing illegal about this, but I am not an expert on the nuances of election law.

Assuming that he won't do that, who should he select?

1. Tom Sawyer...
...might balance the ticket nicely and help mend fences. He's experienced, articulate and informed.

2. The two middle aged white guys ticket? ;-)
Seriously, I don't want Capri Cafaro to run for the 13th District seat.

3. Cafaro should put her energies elsewhere

I hear from my family members over there that she would be crazy to run. Gotta give credit to anyone who tries (I kindov feel sorry for her; dont ask me why), but, that last run was a disaster on so many levels.

4. with Marcy Kaptur as Candidate for Governor

And then, too, if you have Marcy Kaptur debating with Strickland for Governor, it would be a very good mix and face to the Democratic Party. All positive, especially with Sherrod side by side.

5. You have to have a lt. gov. on your primary ticket....
They changed the law back a few years so that the Gov and Lt. Gov ran as a team...

6. What is Lt Gov supposed to do in Ohio?
Funny you never hear much about Taft's Lt Governor, Bruce Johnson. Just read his web page, it looks like he's one of the "bag men" in charge of handing out taxpayer funds to corporate contributors.

8. Not much.
Usually chosen to head some department. Steps in if the Gov dies.
