9. Kilroy as Congresswoman will be effective
Edited on Mon Jan-09-06 09:44 AM by poli speak
Her willingness to listen, ask the tough questions, and act, remind me of Congresswoman Kaptur. She will be tough.

6. I've asked before about Pryce
Affiliations with DeLay aside, Pryce has done a tremendous job in Congress regardling legislation for cancer research and treatment. She will be a huge loss in getting legislation passed for cancer patients. Given that we don't have too many Dems in Congress who are strong on cancer issues or very knowledgeable about them, is there any hope that Pryce's potential replacement will help carry the ball on this issue or will cancer patients end up getting hurt if Pryce loses.

7. Deb Pryce lost her daughter to cancer in the late 1990s
I sent a letter of sympathy & call to her office during her child illness. She sent me back a
thank you card.

But however how many cancer cases will there be in Iraq due to the use of
depleted uranium bullets?

She has been a partisan attack dog from day one .... in 1995 she earned her bones w/ the
repugs by sponsoring a bill that made it hard for Bill Clinton to pay his legal bills that were
raising daily thanx to his being hunted by the right. This after she promised to go to D.C.
to do "the people's work," and to stay out of politics.

And on 1/6/05 She called me and anybody else who ?ed the vote in 04 un-American and
we didn't support are troops. She had her hand on her hips and lectured like a 3rd grade
teacher telling how bad it was to say that Ohio didn't have a clean vote. I saw and heard
the fraud 1st hand .......... Fuck her & the horse she rode in on.

8. I'm not saying she shouldn't be replaced
What I'm saying is whomever replaces her should be willing to pick up the ball on cancer issues.

This is an issue Dems should own, but don't. I'm not sure why, as an institution, the Democratic Party is so apathetic about one of the biggest killers of Americans here in the US.
