Toledo, Ohio Jan. 18, 2006
Konop for Lucas County, in conjunction with the University of Toledo College Democrats and the Lucas County Young Democrats, will be hosting a town hall meeting today Wednesday, January 18th, at 7 PM at the University of Toledo Student Union (Room 2561). The meeting is open to any Democrat or Progressive in Lucas County under the age of 35.
The meeting's purpose is to provide young Democrats of all stripes a forum to voice their opinions on the future of the local Democratic party and, more importantly, the future of our community. The meeting's goal is to work towards establishing a consensus as to the direction of the party from the young people who will be its future leaders. Area media are welcome to attend the event.
Paul Hackett To Appear As Special Guest
Following the unity meeting, U.S. Senate Candidate and Iraqi War Veteran Paul Hackett will address the young Democrats and offer his views on the future of the party and our state.
