The unsubstantiated rumour I'm getting is that Kerry or possibly Kerry/Edwards will appear in Zanesville on or about July 31 or August 1st.

Marietta was also spoken of as a possible stop.

ZANESVILLE — John Kerry and John Edwards, the presumptive Democratic nominees for president and vice president, will visit Zanesville on July 31.

The Saturday visit will come on the heels of next week’s Democratic National Convention in Boston, where it is expected that Kerry will receive his party’s nomination for president Thursday.

The candidates will arrive by bus, and a rally will be held in Zanesville in the evening. The bus tour will spend the night in Reynoldsburg before continuing on to Springfield and Bowling Green on Sunday, Aug. 1.

President Bush is expected to be in Canton the same day, just showing how important the state of Ohio will be in this year’s election, said Rep. Ted Strickland (D-Lisbon).
