Zanesville Kerry Rally Details

Kerry rally at courthouse; Bush location to be announced

Sen. John Kerry will stand on the steps of the Muskingum County Courthouse when he addresses crowds Saturday, the Times Recorder has learned.

Kerry and his running mate, Sen. John Edwards, will arrive in Zanesville between 7 and 8 p.m. The public will be allowed to fill the area near the courthouse beginning at 6 p.m.

Tickets are not required for those who want to attend the Kerry/Edwards rally Saturday, but are encouraged for those who would like to be in a preferred standing area.

1. I just got back from Hillis' Office

They do not have tickets yet. Someone is suppossed to deliver the tickets to the Mayor's office, and they will be distributed to the various businesses from there.

3. It's going to be a busy day on I-70

Bush* will be motorcading through Cambridge around noon. I just helped made a bunch of signs "welcoming" him. Kerry will be leaving Wheeling in the afternoon and heading to Zanesville. Tomorrow I'll be working on signs to welcome Kerry to Ohio as he enters the state. I don't have the details for either of those rallies, but will post them tomorrow night after the convention.

We began phone banking tonight and had many volunteers in the office. Things are beginning to rock and roll. Today was a good day to be in Ohio.

update from my e-mail:

Bush is in Cambridge this Saturday at 12:30pm. We are doing a counter vis at the event. We are meeting in Cambridge at the Democratic office at 11am at 905 E. Wheeling Ave. Please let me know if you can help with this effort. We will have signs there for you.

We will also be greeting Kerry/Edwards bus as it enters Ohio. We are looking for people to stand on the first Ohio overpass, more details tomorrow, once you come in from WVA, at 6:30pm on Saturday. Please let me kow if you would like to pump up Kerry on his way from Wheeling to Zanesville.

Not too many Freepers in here. My car sits out front all day with the Kerry bumpersticker.

You might be suprised just how mainstream and normal the adult business has become.

Oh- 10 'til midnight. My 12 hour shift is about over. See you at the protest. I was thinking of wearing my free speech coalition t-shirt, but maybe I won't. I guess it could embarass some folks.

and Mongo put together a great poster encouraging people to register to vote. It makes me really happy when someone stops and takes a voter registration form.
