The Canton rally was soooooo much fun
Edited on Thu Sep-30-04 10:57 PM by coalminersdaughter
Our group was divided. We interpreted the directions three ways and ended up on three different corners. You will be glad to know that dralston and coalminersdaugher can follow directions and met on the proper corner! We had a positive reception with many honks and thumbs up as we showed our support for Kerry with signs, shirts and waves.

Of course we were Cheneyed by some, and received some thumbs down; but it was great fun!

:hi: dralston, thanks for coming!

edit: forgot to say that Mrs. AWD was there!

1. Three corners. Three times the influence!
It worked out that you were split up. Probably made people think that there are Kerry Democrats everywhere!

2. That's the truth!

I'm really glad we did that!

When I was able to see the faces of those who gave us a favorable honk or wave, I could tell they appreciated what we were doing.

It helped phych us up for the debate party too!

Thanks coalminersdaughter for spreading the word on DU. Maybe we can do it all again on Tuesday in Cleveland for Edwards? I've got five people who expressed an interest in going up.

On Edit:

Did I understand that the guy taking pictures was from the New York Times?

3. That is correct!
The Canton Repository was scooped again! I might be able to find some Philly people who would go. Spike Trees would know the ideal place.

4. Any word on how the Seeman campaign is going?
not on-line much these days- but have often thought of that campaign and hope that it is going well.

5. I spoke briefly with Mrs. AWD
She was trying to connect with a babysitter that was late. We just had a moment to discuss the trials of being a working mom with a husband who is campaigning. Check out his web site at

7. I will certainly do that
I hope Jeff does not come back here after the election. (That will mean he has won.) But if he does, I hope he will receive the warm welcome he deserves.
