Bush MIA in Ohio
www.salon.com "The War Room"

Remember when it seemed like the entire presidential race had taken up residence in Ohio? Not anymore. According to an Associated Press report out today, George W. Bush hasn't shown his face in the Buckeye State once in two weeks.

What gives? The Republicans tell AP that Bush is up by a couple of points in Ohio and that he's doing so well there that he can spend his time in places like Florida, Iowa and Wisconsin instead. The Democrats say that Kerry is up by a couple of points in Ohio, and that Bush's numbers might get worse there if the president visited. "You should ask them why they don't think it's a good thing to have their candidate campaign" in Ohio, Kerry spokesman Joe Lockhart said on a call with reporters today.

Who's telling the truth? It's hard to know. A Chicago Tribune poll taken last week has Kerry up by four among likely voters in Ohio. A Strategic Vision poll taken the same time has Bush up by six. Time will tell, as will the candidates' travel schedules. Kerry will be in Ohio Tuesday and again Wednesday night. Bush returns to Ohio Friday for what will be his first appearance in 20 days.

1. Canton,...John Edwards on Wed....Monkey Boy on Fri.
Got tickets for Edwards at the Civic Center on Wed. Whoohoo! Monkey boy location not released yet. Last time Monkey boy was in Canton(also at C.C.) he only drew 4,800 and the place holds 5K. Probably 200+ folks outside letting him know he's not welcome here. Maybe he'll have his rally in the Diebold parking lot? Can't wait to see Edwards!

3. Please post any info you hear.
I may dust off one of my signs and drive up. Edwards comes to New Philadelphia immediately after Canton. 4000 tickets went out the door the first day.

5. The more the merrier
I still got mine from when the chimp came to Timken to push his tax cut a week before the carrier landing charade. "Canton Loves Democracy ...YOU ARE OUT OF PLACE HERE, GEORGE" Even has the tear where some wingnut lady tried to pull it down. Guess bush is a glutton for punishment. Go figure.

Crashcart was in Xenia this afternoon. How many trips does that make since summer?
