Cleveland Browns - worst season ever?? |
|
Maybe they have had worse win/loss percentages in the past, but with all the expectations for this season (talk was that making the playoffs was a MUST), could it have been anymore disappointing?

In there 99 comeback seson they had two wins, but that was expected. I grew up in Cleveland and it was always Browns Town. Was just back for X-Mas and the attitude was ho-hum on the Browns. What has happened?
The new Browns have failed to catch the fever that the old Browns had.

2. The 49errors only have two wins this year |
|
Some of these Browns' losses have been frightful--point spreads of dozens of points. Pete Kotz at Cle Scene wrote a summary. He concluded that Butch Davis had no idea what real talent was. He just judged players by speeds in timed sprints.

3. Well, that's what happens when: |
|
* The offensive line situation never gets addressed or remedied. Bret Favre wouldn't have 500 yards passing/yr with that line. * Because of the bad offensive line, you have no running game to speak of, making them one of the worst red zone teams ever. * You have a coach that only wants players from one university no matter HOW bad they are as pros, alienating the rest of the players that actually give a shit. * Your offense was predictable and limited in the NFL ten YEARS ago. * You have a front office who's simply clueless when it comes to talent judgement, instead getting nothing but undisciplined thugstah dickheads. * In addition to bad management, Cleveland sports overall just suffers from plain old rotten LUCK. We just don't have the luck that other teams have - our teams either don't gel, a star comes here and has a mediocre to flop season, talent leaves and wins Super Bowls or World Series with other teams, always missing ONE key piece of the puzzle (particularly starting pitching or a good defensive coach) . . . it's frustrating being a Cleveland fan. This is without a doubt the most snake-bitten city in all of professional sports.
Hopefully the Cavs can turn things around, but knowing their retard management, LeBron will most likely get traded for Michael Doleac or something.
