Blue88?

Anyone know anything about Blue88?

It's a grass-roots group formed to take back Ohio by making each of our 88 counties BLUE for the next election. Sounds good to me.

There's going to be a Dayton meeting at DemHQ tomorrow.

I don't know anything about this group, but I plan to learn more.

I do know Chris Glaros the President. He was active in DFA before the primary and took a leave from his job to head ACT in central Ohio. He is extremely intelligent and very nice. (Even back when the Kerry supporters and DFA supporters were not getting along, he was always a nice guy.) I also know JB Lawton who did the LTTE organizing for the Kerry/Edwards volunteer group-- good guy. Jeff Loeser did a lot of the college outreach for ACT in Columbus-- I've heard good things about him.

I don't know about the group, but if the leaders are any indication, I want to know more. If you have the time, I would go to the meeting. Please post and say how it went. Personally, I plan to drop a couple members emails and see if they need more volunteers. Again, thanks for the link. :)

Their website is impressive and they have every county covered with at least one volunteer, although their representation seems to be rather heavy in the north and east part of our state.

We really need help down here in SW Ohio; I'll see if I can get any former Ohio Women for Kerry members interested.

Unfortunately, I can't attend the meeting tomorrow -- maybe next time.

If anyone attends a meeting, please let us know about this new group.

You're right. If the people in charge are any indication, this will be a good group. I worked with or know about half these people and they are dedicated.

As long as they can get the necessary funding for whatever projects they undertake, it'll be great.

I just can't set foot in DemHQ -- I spent so much time there last summer . . .

Hopefully, we'll get a report from some folks who attended the meeting.
