Former party chair Leland to head Strickland for Governor 2006 campaign
Dear Friends,

I have decided to make a move at least for the next several months.

I will be taking a leave of absence from my responsibilities at Project Vote to become the Finance Chair and Senior Campaign Advisor for Congressman Ted Stricklands race to become the next Governor of the State of Ohio.

During this period, Project Vote will continue its twenty-three (23) year mission of low-income and minority voter empowerment under the direction of our long-time executive director Zach Polett and our new national director Holli Holliday.

Holli has served in a senior management position with Project Vote for the past two years. In 2003 she managed our voter turn-out experiment in Kansas City, Missouri and then developed and managed our successful Michigan 2004 statewide program, which included voter registration, voter turnout and election protection. Holli is a graduate from Howard University and the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Law.

Please be assured that while the Strickland effort will dominate my professional and personal life, I will always have time for my friends and colleagues at Project Vote.

Thank you for all of your help and support. Our efforts will result in a better America for all!

Sincerely,

David J. Leland
