UPDATED: Wednesday, August 03, 2005 10:34:13 AM

BROOK PARK, Ohio (AP) -- Military official says 14 Marines killed in Iraq on Wednesday were members of Ohio-based battalion that lost six members on Monday.

According to U.S. Central Command, 14 Marines and a civilian interpreter, assigned to Regimental Combat Team 2, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), were killed in action early this morning when their amphibious assault vehicle was attacked by an improvised explosive device (IED). The incident occurred during combat operations approximately two kilometers south of Haditha.

The victims names' have not been released. It's unclear how many of them are from Ohio. The battalion has units in Brook Park; Columbus; Akron; Moundsville, West Virginia and Buffalo, New York.

The six killed Monday were reservists, from northeast Ohio who trained at the Brook Park Armory...

Now we need to work on our senators.

Oh, I guess you mean the election held yesterday, not one for the district where Brookpark is located.

7. WELL ITS OBVIOUS THE WEALTHY AREAS OF OHIO
don't give a rats ass about those soldiers!! by their vote for more of the same from the rethugs!!

i really think the only way to wake the wealthy who won't put "their " kids in harms way is a draft...

i see it with my wealthy friends in fla and nj..they don't give a crap how many are dying daily..but mention their kids going to fight..well those are fighting words!!
i had a aquaintence the other day laugh when i said her kid could get drafted..she said..my kid fight??..ohhh no he would be incapable of fighting...i asked why.. she said he wouldn't know how to take the garbage out..( they have maids) ..or make his bed..let alone pull a trigger!
so i said ..well if you support bushes policies why don't you feel it nessesary to send your kid to fight for those policies..she said..quote.."only the dumb and poor send their kids to this war"!!

i felt vietnam de ja vue all over again...i told her to go to hell!! and walked away!
