1. interesting, but ...
the survey reflects people's dis-satisfaction with leadership in general, not repubs in particular. In my opinion.

If you notice, Voinovich is at 93, he was elected with 66% support.

People are dis-satisfied, that is a known and acknowledged fact.

Translating the dis-satisfaction into support for progressive candidates who have the vision and plan to bring Ohio a better tomorrow, is the game.

2. Ryan will beat DeWine...
...if he runs, and thats the big question, Hackett is way too much of the risk he's a class act but he needs more experiance. There a lot of time between now and next november and DeWine has cash but I'll stick my neck out and say DeWine will lose if Ryan runs.

Hackett should either run as Strickland's runningmate (as I've said before) or run for Ryan's Congressional seat if Ryan where to run for Senate.

3. Hackett can't run
For Ryan's seat because he doesn't live in his district. As Lt. Gov. Hackett's biggest assett his anti-war voice would be all but silenced. I really don't buy the Hackett needs experience arguement because Hackett's second biggest assett is his image as a straight-shooting regular guy. The fact that he's not a politician is something that he's been able to utilize very well. I think he does need a good campaign manager so that he doesn't get himself in too much trouble with some of his comments, but I don't think he neceassrily needs experience.

Speaking of Ryan, where the fuck is he? He made that comment that he was leaning against a Ryan a few weeks ago, since then Brown's ruled out a run and he still hasn't said anything since then.
