Homecoming rally Oct 1 to formally launch EqualityOhio
3:30 PM at the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus

http://equalityohio.org/homecoming.htm

The rally theme is: Our state. Our lives. Our Home.

A diverse group of Ohioans has been working together since last November, after the passage of Issue One, to create a new statewide organization to work pro-actively throughout the state to make Ohio a place that is welcoming to all of us.

We have in place sister organizations - one for political action, and one for education (distinct for tax deductibility purposes), and full time staff.

Come help celebrate the formal launch of Equality Ohio.

1. Thanks for the invite..
I might just have to take a drive down that way and support this worthy cause.

Issue 1 is pure evil and hate-filled.

2. You're welcome!
We would love to have you join the rally.

We've been working hard since shortly after the election last fall, but particularly this spring and summer to get to the launch point - and we're excited to introduce our baby to all of you.

We're also ready to send a loud and clear message that Ohio is our home, and the spiteful (and in some cases ignorant) vote last fall will not chase us out of our home - and we need your help for that.

3. Report from rally

About 500 or so attended the rally.

Excellent coverage on the local Fox affiliate (I was shocked). The reporter showed up and stayed for the entire rally, and the news story that resulted couldn't have been better if we had scripted it.

I hope you'll join me in the marathon to take back our state, our lives, and our home!

6. Great Job!!!
When is the next one? Issue 1 is hateful and such a disgrace to this state. Everyone pays taxes in this state and everyone in this state should be treated equally and fairly.
