On-line Town Meetings with Michael Moore
Hey Buckeyes,

At the F-9/11 screening on Friday night I picked up a handout from MoveOn.org: "Are You Ready to Turn Up the Heat on George W. Bush?"

MoveOn is hosting on-line, live, interactive discussions with Michael Moore TOMORROW (6/28) night in living rooms and meeting halls across America. I'm going to one in Kettering.

If you're interested in attending, here's the sign-up link:

http://action.moveonpac.org/f911/

It's time for a regime change in the USA.

3. Thank you
I just returned from F-9/11 and found your post . There is a house party a few miles north of me. I just signed up for it.

The movies was all that it was billed. MM has a winner. My daughter goes to a lot of movies and was impressed when there were about 30 in the theater for a Sunday matinee. She was even more impressed when the theater filled to around 300. There were some empty seats down front, but not many. I was amazed at how many older people were in the audience. It was not a young crowd. There was applause at the end and everyone left rather subdued.

4. 300 people for a Sunday matinee?
Terrific -- I'm impressed, too.

I'll meet you back here after we attend the MoveOn parties tomorrow night and we can compare notes.

So glad you signed up!:headbang:

5. Monday matinee in North Canton
There were more people than I have ever seen at an afternoon movie here. It was a very respectful crowd with a mixture of ages - including several families with children from 12 or so up. They laughed, clapped and I'm sure many shed a few tears.

6. Just back from the house party
There were only three of us, and I was the only one who saw F-9/11. It was not so much a discussion of the movie, but a discussion of where we can go from this point. Michael asked us to each adopt five voters, make sure they are registered, keep in touch with them in the next months and make sure they get to the polls. He also asked us to take that day off to help voters in any way we can.

I have signed up to have a Move On phone party on July 11. I have no idea what we will do at this party, but I'm sure I will find out.

My host and hostess were a delightful young couple. I learned a lot about them and am going to be working to help them find employment. They are college educated and victims of downsizing.

Looking forward to hearing from other parties. cmd

7. Good Post, CMD!
So, you actually got to "see" Michael Moore? I mean, on-line?

Did he (just) speak to the group and was anyone able to ask him questions?

8. I got to hear him
Our connection was not working properly. We had audio, but the video would not work. You could ask questions and he did answer those selected. There were several interactive things to do. Our problem was that we couldn't see the boxes to answer or ask questions. It was still worth going. cmd
