Papers differ on state issue stances

The Associated Press

(AP) — The Akron Beacon Journal on Sunday endorsed state Issue 4, an elections reform measure, while The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer(sucks) encouraged its readers to vote against it.

Issue 4 on the Nov. 8 ballot would take redistricting powers away from state legislators and turn them over to a commission.

The Akron Beacon Journal called the plan "substantially better than the current system" while The Plain Dealer(sucks) said it isn't convinced it will make for better redistricting.

The Plain Dealer(sucks) endorsed state Issue 2, which would allow voters to request an absentee ballot for any reason, and said no on Issue 3 and Issue 5...

1. If PD supported Issue 3
It must mean the R's have figured out a way to "game" it.

Why do our newspapers hate democracy?
