The fundies are going to picket Family Planning in North Ridgville

I received this from an unsuspecting fundie who supports the right wing for one reason only "ABORTION"
This guy has 6 kids and lives in a shack making what he can doing odd jobs and votes for the rupukes because they are going to do something about abortion.
Looks like they are protesting this Saturday and plan to do it every month. These people need a life.

Most of you probably don't know about a personal mission that my family has been working on. About a year ago, Family Planning Services of Lorain County moved into a storefront in North Ridgeville near the new Ace Hardware store on Center Ridge. FPS provides free sexual education, medical and abortion referrals, birth control, and abortive prescriptions. They decided to open a branch in North Ridgeville so they could provide their services primarily to North Ridgeville teens without their parent's permission or consent.

They opened their clinic quickly and quietly. They were not invited. Most citizens don't want them there. City counsel and the mayor don't want them either. The landlord didn't even know what they do when they signed the lease.

Several churches in the areas have decided to picket on the sidewalk in front of FPS on certain Saturdays of the month. Our family has decided to make it our personal mission and picket on the 2nd Saturday of the month. Occasionally we'll also picket the 5th Saturday, which is THIS week.

Will you or anyone in your family join us this Saturday 29th? It is a peaceful picket where we pray, walk, hold signs and occasionally talk to a passerby. We have signs that are thoughtful and not in-your-face. We start at 11am and end at noon.

Certainly I disagree with the dude, and think he's making an issue out of nothing (pretty standard fair for the religious nutbags) - also interesting that he somehow knows the mayor doesn't want it, the city counsel (sic) doesn't want it, and that the landlord apparently has no idea whatsoever who he/she rented the space to, that most citizens don't want it, and that to him it's important to note that they weren't invited - must be a weird town where businesses/non-profits are apparently required to be invited first.

But, disagree as I might, and though his obvious lies stand out quite condemningly, but his beliefs are his beliefs, no matter how myopic and filled with blinders they might be, and for the most part he was gentle about it.

But as soon as he said "look forward to spreading righteousness", I had to relegate him to the fundy fuckbag file. Sane Christians do not assume that what they are doing is "righteous". They might believe they are correct, but they wouldn't say "we're spreading righteousness!"

Asshole.

4. What would be a good response to this?

I don't like yelling at people, there has to be a better way. I suppose if one was tactful, they could at least get these "people" to listen to some ideas. Or if that is not the way, then we could talk to the community where there are moderate and reasonable people and encourage them to make the clinic welcome.
