Cheney bus makes stop in Parma (hundreds of protestors)

Several hundred protesters, organized by a coalition of labor leaders, faith-based groups and Democratic politicians, lined State Road leading to the church and filled a large yard across from the entrance.

When Cheney arrived shortly before 11 a.m., the chants turned into high-decibel boos. After the event, as the vice president's supporters left the church hall, the protesters exchanged political barbs with them from the barricaded protest site across the street.

As Cheney's bus pulled out of the church lot, protesters continued to yell at the bus and make obscene hand gestures.

Then, from a loudspeaker on the bus, Cheney left them with a parting line: "Happy Fourth of July."

I think the hand gestures they referred to can be translated as "Go Cheney yourself!", though.

So, remind me again... why is the heartland of this great land or ours supposed to give a rat's rear end about DICK frickin' Cheney?

As far as I know, he's just another rich guy who's trying to come in and tell us all how to do things
