Key thing to remind PA Dems and Repubs of... |
|
The PA state legislature has been controlled by republicans for more than eight years.
I think for the entire time that Ridge was governor he had the benefit of a legislative body that agreed with him most of the time...and yet...our state hasn't progressed very far in job growth and keeping our young talent in state.
We have had two republican senators and what have they done for us? Santorum barely won the last election (it was closer than most think) and he lives in DC most of the time with his wife and their kids....He only starts smirking around here when he wants a vote and he hasn't done very much...Specter...well he hasn't been all that bad on social issues and personally I think he is at odds with his party's right turn but alas he still hasn't done too much..
Also remember we lost 2 electoral votes in the last census...pretty much under republican control...
Right now there are hot and contested races even in the general assembly and state senate...some hotter than others so we have to get the dems out and get them to vote straight ticket in Nov.

1. We need to say this to everyone, everywhere.... |
|
....I can't believe I don't see more people pointing out the obvious. Repub Prez, Repub House, Repub Senate.
If you've got entire control of the game, if your policies and your skills are the best, and you're STILL not doing victory laps then that proves complete and utter failure. Nobody else to blame.

they have had control of many states and those states have not prospered and many have actually taken big steps backwards...

3. Santorum could be toast next time |
|
All anyone needs to do is mention how Santorum originally won his seat by pointing out how the incumbent spent all his time in DC and hardly ever came to PA and now he's done the same thing.

4. Hafer will hand him his ass. |
|
Ron Klink didn't get any money from the Dems, but Santorum was rolling in corporate Republican donations. Even then it was a close election. Plus his stance on civil liberties and gay rights will hurt him. All we have to do is donate to Hafer's campaign in 2006 and that miserable mixture of lube and fecal matter is done.

6. Barbara Hafer isn't exactly great at raising money either |
|
Her two unsuccessful runs for Governor have shown that.

5. I love watching the Rep. primary |
|
IT's so great to see moderate and conservative Republicans duking it out like fools. Hopefully this will mean a Joe Hoeffel win. It would be bloody awesome if lots of Republicans just stayed home for the general election.
