Philly geography question |
|
I'm applying for a social work teaching position at Temple, and need the name for that area of town up past Penn and Drexel. I used to live in Philly, and want to call it "northeast" but I don't think that is the right name. It is a low-income area.
thanks for the info, and for keeping PA blue. VA is turning blue this year for the first time since LBJ.

1. University City? Strawberry Mansion? Parkside? Overbrook? |
|
What do you mean by "up past"? Penn & Drexal are west of Center City, on the other side of the Schuylkill River, and the Northeast section hugs the Delaware River, to the east...

2. I believe it's just North Philly |
|
North Broad St. is not part of Northeast Philly AFAIK.
Welcome to the City of Brotherly Love and good luck with that teaching position.

I live in DC, where we have NE, NW, SE, and SW. so that is where I got messed up. Thanks to you all, and if I get the job it will be great to be living in a Blue city in a blue state.
