Pretty lively at the polls this morning |
|
As busy as I've ever seen it at opening on a primary day. Interestingly, I only saw Democrats voting--the Democratic polling booths were full up and no one was using the Rupublican booths. Even though this is a heavily Democratic district, you'd think that the Specter/Toomey race would pull out a few Republicans. Maybe Republicans sleep in.

You mean I vote at 7:00 am because I'm a Democrat and not because I have to go to work?

7. voter turnout in my little town |
|
they were also updating their voter registration records.. seems alot of people either registered to vote or switched party affiliation
due to time constraints they hadn't had time to double check the records so they were checking them against voter registration cards as people came in...
my little town has a total adult population of around 300 (we have more cows than people)
when my partner and I went to vote last night around 6-pm-ish (polls close at 8pm) our voter cards were doubled checked, we signed a voter book and a number was assigned
I asked what the number meant -- I was told that this was a count of how many people came in to vote -- my number was 208. this means that as of 6pm we had approximately 69% voter turnout, probably higher as not everyone in town is registered to vote
