How's the rain going to effect the election? |
|
Current forecast here in Lancaster calls for rain for much of the day on Tuesday. Just wondering and supposing what that'll do for the turnout. Any thoughts?

We're well set up for 1 o'clock and 5 o'clock calls of registered D nonvoters, and we'll be able to offer rides and encouragement when we call. Are you organized?

3. I'm on an election board in Lancaster County |
|
I was thinking of having lots of umbrellas and maybe hot coffee available. I'm trying to organize some stuff today and Monday. Traditionally, rain lowers turnout in my little district. Lots of seniors..........but this election is like none other I've participated in............I think people will brave the weather, what ever. I would and everyone I know will.

4. Heavy Rain and Cold Lowers Turnout - Not Light Rain |
|
I don't believe scattered light rain will affect turnout. There have been some elections in the past with very cold heavy rain that did discourage voters.

5. Would it keep you away? |
|
A thousand Republicans in my way would not deter me from voting. Neither would rain, sleet, snow, hail, earthquake, typhoon, or hurricane!
We're going to GOTV like never, ever before, no matter what the weather is.

Looks like some rain later in the day. Temps should be mild if WNEP-TV is close to accurate.

7. Don't remember an election day where it didn't rain |
|
And I never noticed any effect on turnout between light rain and torrential downpours (I'll be 28 shortly after the election, so 9+ years registered). Me and my 3.5 year old will be "braving the elements" to vote and then help out.
