It was excellent! There was so much enthusiasm and energy. Some Bushies lined up across the street and one of the speakers turned around and told them it doesn't bother us that they're over there because we love free speech and that you'd never see any of us at a Bush rally because they just don't permit it.
After the rally about a thousand Kerry supporters lined the street across from the 50 or so Bushies and gave them what-for, screaming at the top of our lungs, "Two more days!"
Some ding-a-ling Bush supporter yelled at my son asking why he supports a guy who kills kids and my son told him that Bush kills kids. When I turned around and started talking to him, he brushed his hands in the air and walked off. Go figure. They want to debate an 11 year old, but when an adult speaks up they run.

the speaker told them. And your son was great! I'd say that your assessment of freepers is about right-they are brave when confronted with kids, but when they see adults, they run away.

I normally don't like conflict, but it felt great to shout "2 more days" at the Bushies across the street. My son is still flitting around the house all excited and happy because he got to shake hands with John Edwards and he's even thrilled about meeting Mr. Kucovich. They are like rock stars for him. :)
