According to the feature front page article in today's Standard-Speaker in Hazleton county election boards in these counties will be making a decision on which electronic voting system to purchase.

I'm not a computer expert. I have all I can do to figure out the intricacies of my home PC. I'm in Luzerne Co. and I plan to find out exactly what my county is doing and planning in order to implement electronic voting and pitch the one-arm bandit system used here.

I posted this info for anybody who lives in Carbon and Schuylkill counties to give you a heads-up. These electronic systems are supposed to be up and running by the 2006 elections so the time to pay attention and ask serious questions is now. All I know is I want my vote and the votes of my fellow Luzerne Co residents to count and correctly.
