Knoll may be cut from 2006 ticket
Lieutenant governor is isolated and eccentric, administration sources say.

By John L. Micek
and John M.R. Bull Call Harrisburg Bureau

HARRISBURG | Lt. Gov. Catherine Baker Knoll made history nearly two years ago when she became the first woman to ascend to the state's No. 2 spot.

But she has become an isolated and eccentric figure who may well end up being dropped by Gov. Ed Rendell when he seeks re-election two years from now, former staffers and top Rendell administration officials say.

Knoll burns through staff at an alarming rate, requires extensive coaching to preside over the state Senate and periodically infuriates top senators within her own Democratic Party.

And she has also paid a high-priced speech coach in part to break her of the habit of introducing Rendell at public events as the 1940s gangster movie actor Edward G. Robinson.

1. Kathy Knoll may have Jim Bunnings Disease
Only we're Democrats, and don't like keeping people who have become incompetent to serve, unlike our Republicommie brethren.

5. We nominated her in 2002, despite her incompetence in the Treasurer's
office in the 1990's. Too bad the guy I voted for, Jack Wagner, didn't win.

2. Just what we need...A disaster waiting to happen in Pennsylvania...

She's "one cheesesteak away from the governor's chair". A senile Democrat in powere in a major state, an elderly woman who allows herself to be manipulated by Republican senators whose name she can't even remember against her own party.

God help us all.

on edit: I did read that Chris Heinz was interesed in a political career...What better place to start...
