Kukovich to head Rendell's regional office
http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/04336/420115.stm

A state senator who lost his bid for re-election last month will be out of a state job for less than a week.

Allen Kukovich of Westmoreland County will become the director of the southwest regional office for Gov. Ed Rendell on Monday.

He replaces Bob O'Connor, former Pittsburgh city councilman, who resigned two weeks ago to pursue other, unspecified interests.

Rendell's office made the announcements today.

Kukovich, 57, a Democrat from Manor, was upset last month by Bob Regola of Hempfield in the general election. Kukovich's term ended yesterday.

1. Whoo-hoo! Kudos to Rendell for this. Allen Kukovich is a wonderful person.
He has always been one of the few truly dedicated public servants out there.

Am so glad to learn there is still a place for Allen in Pennsylvania at this time. I hope that in the future there will be much more for him and from him in our government.
