1. It's hard to tell from that link what the overall leaning is |
|
Do you know in total, is Pa leaning more Dem or Repug?
This Primary may not be an important indicator right now because a lot of Dems may not have voted because most feel Kerry is already the candidate, but I would like to get a feel for how the State looks at this point.

Add Specter and Hoffels totals and you have twice as many people voting "moderate" over "conservative"(Toomey)

8. Yes - I know. But you get the point don't you? |
|
Perhaps I should have said:
Twice as many people voting -> "not conservative"
Better?

3. Huge Primary for Pubs.... |
|
Edited on Wed Apr-28-04 07:47 AM by RPM
I think the republicans showed up in force because of the Specter / Toomey race, while the Dems were lukewarm since the rest of the country has already decided the presidential nominee. The dem numbers should pick up for November.
I just wish we could have our primary earlier... please!!!!

On edit: changed Hoeffel to Toomey - shame on me for confusing the two!

5. Its more than the top of the ticket |
|
People forget that there is more than the top of the ticket in primaries. The "rank and file" offices do the real work of fighting for our agenda everyday.

7. All the other offices.... |
|
Seriously, there are a number of important offices that are on the ballot. Unfortunately, I think too many people underestimate the importance of those positions (particularly Attorney General) and blow off the whole affair. Shame really as it sometimes will let bad eggs into the general election.
