This is the regular Women in Black vigil at Ferris Plaza, but Johnny Wolf is bringing his 800' banner that we used when Sharon visited Crawford. It lists 100+ UN resolutions broken by Israel.The banner weighs 300 lbs, so MEN ARE INVITED! The action will last from noon to 2:00, and everybody is asked to wear black.

Saturday, we have been invited to table at the Green Party State Convention, at the Dallas Eco Park, 5215 Simpson Stuart Rd., Dallas. (Thank you Rachel!) Sandy and I will be there, and we will only be tabling from 11 to 1, so it is not urgent that we have help, but it is a great opportunity to meet some Greens, do some outreach and have some fun.

Sunday, our June general meeting will be held at Paperbacks Plus, at Liveoak and La Vista at 1 PM. Heather will facilitate, and we will discuss our upcoming anti-recruiters campaign, Garland's Star Spangled Fourth of July, VFP's national convention, Texans for Peace's workshops on non-violence in the schools and lots of other stuff.

The climax of the weekend will be our picnic, immediately following the meeting. There will be food, fun, far out friends, frisbees, fine fellowship and somebody will probably get facetious. So, for a good time, bring enough of your favorite picnic food to share, and follow us from the meeting to the park.
