4. What is it about Republicans and their potty mouths? |
|
I'm not against swearing--I do it myself, but I'm not in public office. I expect more decorum from our elected officials, and it seems like Republicans are the worst.
The first time I ever heard the word "ass" on prime time TV was when Bush Sr. said on the evening news that he was going to "Kick Saddam Hussein's ass."
I was shocked. Sure, I talk like that, but the President isn't supposed to! Then the Republicans got all bent out of shape over Bill Clinton, and started talking about oral sex--again, during family viewing time, on the evening news.
When Dubya was governor, he flipped off the cameraman; when he was running for President, he called a reporter an "a*hole," and Cheney agreed "big time." And, of course, it was Cheney who told Senator Leahy to do you-know-what with himself.
Now, our governor gets into the act with his trashy one-liner.
Good grief. It's time to say "adios, mo fo" to all the toilet-talking Republicans, and get some civility back into the government.

They can do it because we all know they're really just good, holy people who are only using a common vernacular to try and relate to all of us yahoos. :eyes:

I've been in both chambers and trust me, both Repubs and Dems alike have some foul mouths (I probably shouldn't criticize, because I cuss like a sailor myself).
BTW, you should see these guys at parties. Wow. Worse than frat boys.
