"Adios, mofo" is all the rage
Perry catch phrase catches on.
http://www.statesman.com/metrostate/content/metro/stories/06/24adiosmofo.html
(snip)
A completely unscientific study conducted Thursday revealed that every radio personality in Texas has, over the past two days, worked "Adios, mofo," into their routines. Incessantly. Liberal radio host Al Franken took note of it on his Air America Radio show. Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" is aware of "Adios, mofo," but spokesman Steve Albani said he wasn't sure the governor will make the cut.
(/snip)

(snip)
Kelly Fero, an Austin-based Democratic strategist, has already jumped Perry's claim, plunking down $35 for the domain rights to adiosmofo.com. Much to the governor's chagrin, Fero once owned rickperry.com.
(/snip)

(snip)
By Thursday, "Adios, mofo" ricocheted throughout the Internet galaxy, with links to the KTRK story. Conversations started and ended with it. A picketer Thursday at the Capitol carried a sign that read, "Mo Fo? Mo Money For Our Elderly."
(/snip)

And remember kiddies if you buy a T, buy it from one of our own PinkDome http://www.cafepress.com/pinkdome

Now we know who bought up www.adiosmofo.com

2. Oh, oh Kelso's column is even better
This line will haunt Perry, fo' shizzle
http://www.statesman.com/metrostate/content/metro/stories/06/24kelso.html
When it comes to Rick Perry, it's like the old philosopher Mr. T said, "I pity the fool."

This week, the Texas governor got caught saying "Adios, Mofo."

This line will follow Perry around like a dog after a ham sandwich. Patrick Henry said, "Give me liberty, or give me death." John F. Kennedy said, "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

Rick Perry? Best he could do was, "Adios, Mofo."

6. No he's not; those t-shirts are going to be all over the place
And we're going to wear them every chance we get. I think of it as early campaigning. Plus it's our message to Perry - Hasta la vista MoFo!

16. i dunno
i think "like a dog after a beggin' strip" might be more appropriate (said w/experience since my dogs WILL NOT LEAVE ME ALONE if they even SMELL a beggin' strip on my hand..happens even if I only touch the bag fer cryin' out loud). ;)

4. I thought it was hilarious that KTRK ran the clip twice
when they broke the story the first time. I rarely watch local news, but this one was a doozy! They also has Perry lit to make him look (probably not on purpose) like he'd been dead for 3 months.

7. Perry's actually been dead for 5 years
The whole time he's been governor. He's pretty much been on zombie auto-pilot, "preying" on Texans.

12. I bought a t-shirt, magnet and button
and I still laugh thinking about him saying it. It's just so funny. I think a couple of the other people here from work are going to get a shirt too.

Someone told me they thought it would die out, but I think it will hang around through the election.

17. dg, it is hard not to want him to win in the primary
because he's especially weak this year. And because it would be so much fun to beat him with this. I envy one tough grandma, she got handed a freebie.

Scott Henson at Grits for Breakfast blog had some great suggestions
http://gritsforbreakfast.blogspot.com/
What a great tagline! In the past 12 years I've performed opposition and defensive research for almost 70 campaigns, and can recall few comments by incumbents with such potential for fun negative messages. If that's not a prominent Strayhorn campaign attack theme, surely they're missing the boat.

Imagine a series of negative commercials all ending with the phrase "Isn't it time to tell Rick Perry ..." then interjecting him announcing "Adios mo-fo." Now THAT's good negative television fodder! Since he didn't fully articulate the words, you could use the actual clip in the ad! You could also turn it into some really righteous direct mail.

What a delightful blunder! This gubernatorial primary is going to be fun to watch.

Indeed it is, indeed it is.

18. That's actually something for us to consider
Republicans do that sort of thing all the time, it's effective and it's legal. As long as there aren't any really important contested local races in the Democratic primaries, it might be a good idea for a number of us to vote in the repub primary instead and vote for Perry! It won't be a cakewalk for any Dem, but he'd make a much better target than Strayhorn.

I'm sure others here remember them doing this back in the mid 90s, where the repubs voted in the Dem primaries to go for Fisher rather than Mad Dog. Very good strategy on their part, since they knew Kay Bailey could mop the floor with the I have less personality than a limp noodle Fisher. They were scared to death of JM, so they played the odds. Maybe we need to as well.

19. That would be a good strategy lastliberalintexas if
there aren't other races down the ballot you want to vote in. Other contested primary elections on the Democratic side, I mean, Plus can you really stomach voting for a repuke? I couldn't do it. I'd rather vote for someone than against someone. I think we can beat either the MoFo or the GrandMa with hard work.

Let's build a bond fire on rick perry's ass and send the MoFo packing. Looks like you've got some experience building a fire.

We know the other AARP is mostly against the MoFo too.
