Anyone else watch the press conf with Frist, Reid, etc?

I got the distinct feeling when they said they would like to use people other than judges (like senators) that Bush may have Cornyn the Conehead in mind.
If that were so, what would happen? Would Cornyn have to quit to be considered? And then, Goodhair would be able to temporarily appoint somebody till an election could be held?
