Texas Insider.org? A front group for business? |
|
Ive been receiving emails from this group, but lately they seem to be a front group for anti-tax organizations.
Anyone got any info on them? Their website seems to be down.

"As uncovered by fellow Kossak mjo, Jorge Uresti, one of the officers of GOPUSA.com has had his own problems with list manipulation:
"Something has gone wrong at TexasDigest.com, an online, Austin-based political newsletter launched three months ago. In a public apology last week, editor Seton Motley said that one of the company's founders had unethically used the subscription list of 12,000 e-mail addresses. Motley later said in a phone interview that the co-founder bundled the list with Internet design services and flogged the package to other organizations. Motley didn't name the person ousted in a "bloodless coup," but the other founder, James Cardle, remains on board. That leaves only Jorge "George" Uresti of Tyler. Uresti said there was no forced ouster because he voluntarily resigned May 19.
"The article goes on to explain that texasdigest is owned by west law so the group will have to change their name and now it will be Texasinsider.org."
So, what it sounds like is that Jorge Uresti started another board, now texasinsider.org, got caught misusing a mailing list, leaving the other founder and its staff. But, the simple answer seems to be that it's another GOPUSA operation, or offshoot.
Cheers.
