Lance Armstrong says he's NOT running for Governor
From Pink Dome:

Ann Curry interviewed Lance Armstrong and he's not running for governor.

Curry: You do have political aspirations?
Armstrong: No, no ...
Curry: You're saying you have no political aspirations?
Armstrong: I'm not ...
Curry: You're not saying you have no political aspirations?
Armstrong: I don't know what I'm saying. We're going to elect a new governor next year - I'm not running next year.

I suppose the Bell-haters will all go back to pumping Kinky again... :eyes:

4. "middle to left" is all he reveals in this interview:

...though the article says he's very anti-war (which doesn't make him a Lieberman Democrat, at least)

2. I would like to be the first
To invite Lance Armstrong to run for the Austin City Council against Brewster McCracken next year.

5. That would be sweet
I would support him there. I'm thinking his goals might be a little higher though.

6. If he really has goals (as opposed to speculation)
From the quote I heard of him he was saying "who knows, in 10 years I may be interested," (something along that line).

But I'd give him props if in a few years he did decide to run for something "smaller" as opposed to Governor to get his feet wet and see if it's something he wants to do (or is able to do).

No one's sure of his political stance, "left of middle", but then as of now, I've really only appreciated him for his athletic ability. So who knows?
