The Backbone Campaign, Progressive Government Institute, and a coalition of grassroots organizations have initiated a process to empower citizens to nominate, comment on, and rate progressive leaders to serve as a virtual Progressive Parallel Administration. We want to demonstrate that the progressive movement is not an opposition, but a propositional movement, and that we are not content running campaigns, but preparing to run the country.

Phase II of this project is Conversations with the Cabinet, a weekly webcast conference call and podcast, designed to create links between grassroots activists and our most effective policy and movement leaders. Join the email list to be notified of opportunities to participate in these calls.

David Van Os (bio) is a progressive populist Democrat who has taken on numerous federal and state court battles in the cause of Constitutional and civil rights, including hard-fought cases vindicating Freedom of Speech and other precious liberties of the Bill of Rights, voting rights cases on behalf of principled organizations such as LULAC and the NAACP, and countless civil rights cases for individuals who would have been powerless were it not for his efforts.

Mrs Yowza's first chance to hear Van Os and she was very impressed.

He comes across alot smoother on the stump, both in speeches and q&a. The missing visual clues of the conference seemed to put him in a lawyerly dictation mode. He needs to focus on staying crisp.

How 'bout: "irreligious wrong" ???
