Here in Austin Reagan Procession trumps severe weather
All 3 networks didn't offer so much as a screen crawler to inform the public of hazard warnings during Saint Ronnie's procession.

1. Turn your TV off, or stay off the local and cable news shows
I thought I would have to deal with the 24/7 reagasm too, but with careful planning and a Tivo, I've caught up on old recorded shows and watched movies. Never went near a news show. With the exception of having raygun's pic on the local Real Estatesman rag, I hardly knew we were supposed to be "mourning". Just 2 more days to go. I'm also catching up on my reading.

You can go directly to the web for weather updates or catch the weather channel.

"I survived the mindless mass mourning of '04"

2. Thankfully, I've been without TV this week.
I kept up with the weather using News8Austin.com and weather.com. :-)
