Anyone going to Crawford next weekend?

I couldn't make it this weekend, but am thinking of going up there on 8/19, probably arriving at Camp Casey on 8/20. Is anyone else going to go (first time or again)? Please let me know. I'm coming from Laredo, I'll most likely rent a car & have room for a couple of pax willing to split gas & costs, etc. I'll be headed for home on Sunday.

and see the awakening movement for peace myself... though I have been doing so for some time myself in my own small way. I am in the DC area.

I can not wait to get there !!! I am so excited about this it almost stands beside the birth of my children.

...in my life, I wish I was in Texas right now just for the privilege of being able to meet, hug and pledge to Cindy and her cause whatever support it would be in my power to give. I sent her a check yesterday morning but I wish could do more.

and so may Yellow Dog. For me, it would be a Sunday day trip (work Saturday). I haven't set things in stone, because at this point I'm not sure what's going to happen this week (I may end up pulling doubles again for 6 days, and if that happens, Sunday is for sleeping only).

6. I'm working on coordinating a trip with my grandmother, mother

and sister. Grandma is "iffy" because I think the weather conditions may be too dangerous for her, but she has voiced her opinion that she wants to go. She is furious with Bush. Did I mention that she voted for him twice? Despite our best efforts of course. Nonetheless, I think it says something that she is so angry with him now that she wants to join those crazy liberals that she railed against only 9 months ago. I believe we have in fact reached that tipping point of public opinion.
