A few more Crawford photos (graphic heavy warning)
I have a few I haven't seen on other threads, so here they go.

What a beautiful family? (one of our own TXLady)

MelissaG and Sonia. My sign said I stand with the Gold Star Families for Peace on one side, and I stand with Cindy on the other.

The Iraq War Veterans against the war at Tonkawa Park rally.

This baby's father is in Iraq. That's his grandmother asking for her son's safe return. Bring them home alive, now.

TXLady's son. And that's MelissaG's daughter in the forefront. These young kids both rock!

Crowd shot at Tonkawa park. Hey that's a Keep Austin Blue shirt I see.

One of several crescent crosses in the Arlington West memorial at Camp Casey.

Eliza Gilkyson. She sang it best, those aren't the actions of a man of God.

Bill Mitchell, a Gold Star father who lost his son Mike.

Wounded peace dove at Camp Casey.

3. Great photos!
That grandmother's testimony was very moving.

Two girls had signs that said "Culture of life, My Ass." That's what I thought when I heard the grandmother speak--the warmongers don't value families at all.

5. we need to bang this drum long and hard! WE are the FAMILIES losing
our loved ones. WE are the FAMILIES bearing the loss...dealing with the loss of a social safety net that is gone for vets and civies alike. WE are the FAMILIES who live in the neighborhoods and have kids in the schools. WE are the FAMILIES who will never support their damn draft that will come with the next false flag. WE are AMERICA and we won't let her die.

(it's a lyrical monday for me...don't know why) :)

6. The other speech that made me cry was at Camp Casey rally
When the young teenage daughter was on the truck bed stage talking about her father who is in Iraq now and she started to cry, I cried right along with her. I could feel her pain. I hope he makes it home safe. I know we all hope for their safety.

How can you ask a soldier to be the last man to die for a lie?

Bring the troops home now!

Sonia

8. Someone tell Mick Jagger to get down there and sing his new song
about the Fuckhead. "Sweat Neo-con" is the name of it I think.

11. When I saw the wounded dove image,
I picked up my white dove and held him. I tell him every day he is the symbol of peace.

12. Those are some great pics
Dear Sonia, Those are some great pics, i like the one of the wounded peace dove because it really is a symbol of what it's like when we are out at war and of all the killings going on in Iraq. Keep those pics coming, it's too bad President Bush doesn't have the brains let alone the sense to actually be effected by any of these protests. When he has a major protest going on who does he turn to? His fellow republicans, that's like saying "I can't handle this job alone i need your help." He's such a chicken my God get a real president in office who knows what he's doing. I'm glad that Cindy Sheehan is doing this war protest because it's really making a statement about this war in Iraq. There have been so many killings and torture onslaughts in that country that it has just become inhumane. So anyways i will let you go. I hope to hear from you soon, good luck in all you do. Keep those pictures coming.

13. Welcome to DU soliddemocrat!
Isn't it ironic that Larry Mattlage wants to shoot some doves. He's the man who fired shots on his ranch because he's getting tired of signs and other stuff hanging in the trees. Randi Rhodes said today, "so I guess there's no hawk hunting down in Texas".

14. Great pics!
Eliza Gilkyson is one of my all time favorites artists. She was here last year and sand that "Man of God" song and folks were on their feet showing their appreciation. It's going to be on her next album. Her last one was soooooo excellent, I can hardly wait for the new release.

On her website she talks about the flack some folks give her when she speaks out against * and the war, so I gave her an MLK "Silence is Betrayal" button and a COEXIST bumper sticker. She loved them both.

We'll be down there this weekend! Can't wait.
