I was in high school still and was working at Six Flags. I just needed to run in a do some paper work (I was the supervisor of customer service). Well, my cello was in the trunk, and I knew it shouldn't be out there long, but at the same time, I didn't want to haul it the mile to the office.
Ahhh, so the next day, I realize that the varnish under the feet of the bridge (bridge is what holds up the strings) had melted a little and is a perfect rectangle where the feet go. I was so pissed at myself and mortified at the damage.
Thank god that my parents never saw it up close really (they mostly heard me practice and saw me play in concerts). I know it'll cost quite a bit to fix if I ever wanted to start playing again. I think the worst part is that I know how much the instrument is worth, and then I recklessly damaged it like that.

that reminds me, I used to keep a cig lighter in the console. It exploded. Found bits and pieces all over. Glad I wasn't in the vehicle at the time. I don't leave lighters in there any more.

we lived here (99 or 2000, when it was like 110 outside). A soda in the back of his civic exploded and flew to the front of the car, barely missing his head. :wow:

33. I think I was punished enough |
|
The solution to the pollution:
Cleaned the upholstery, aired the vehicle by leaving the windows down several days, then opened a can of cheap coffee and left it in there with the windows up several days.
Much less gamey after that.
