Erwin Center to host hurricane benefit concert

Willie headlined a show at Austin Music Hall in January to raise money for people hit by the South Asian Tsunami. Now, he'll help out victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Legendary blues club owner Clifford Antone also is involved in the concert, which is slated to be on Sept. 21 at the Erwin Center, just two days before the Austin City Limits Music Festival.

Jerry Jeff Walker, Jack Ingram to headline ‘Texas Cares’
Country Concert for Katrina Relief at Stubbs BBQ
On Thursday, September 8th at the legendary Stubbs BBQ (801 Red River), country stars Jerry Jeff Walker, Jack Ingram, and 1,100 Springs along with special guests, will come together to play a concert to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina. The concert will be presented by 98.1 KVET and 100.7 KASE 101. Doors will open at 7pm.
Tickets to the show are just $15 and available at all Austin area Front Gate Ticket outlets which include the Stubbs BBQ Box Office, Waterloo Records, or Sundance Records in San Marcos. Additionally, tickets can be purchased over the phone by calling 512-389-0315. There is no service charge and 100% of ticket sales will go to the American Red Cross to benefit their Katrina Relief Efforts.
Donation drop boxes will also be available at the concert where attendees can deposit additional contributions.
