I thought I would cross-post this post from GD, since threads get easily lost over there.

Louis Rainey is the Political Director of the Louisiana Democratic Party, and there were some threads here about how he lost his home in New Orleans and is now in Dallas helping with the hurricane relief effort. He is coordinating housing and services for evacuees in 79 Dallas area hotels. Gift cards are the most appreciated, and though he didn't specify which stores, I'm sure y'all can make sensible choices. If there's a question as to whether a particular chain has a presence in North Texas, feel free to ask, and I or another Texas DUer will be happy to answer.

Hurricane relief is of course a non-partisan effort, but if you feel better donating directly through a Democratic organization, this is certainly a good one.

1. He's still taking them at the Courtyard by Marriott address too.

He's advertising on Air America Radio now, and he mentions both as drop off points.

I should have included that in the post. Louis's last email to me did not mention the Courtyard, but he does mention it in the AAR ad. Maybe he's changing locations? :shrug:
