anyone read any reports of traffic flow on 71 into Austin? |
|
I have family on 71 just south of Columbus. I'm looking for any info on how traffic is flowing on 71 coming into Austin.
They have moved 3-4 miles the last 3 hours. I think it has to do with the gas stations in Columbus. I hoping after they pass the gas stations they will start moving faster.
Anybody have any info?

They were on fumes when they hit Columbus and waited at a station there foor several hours. They left when people began acting squirrely, and came upon a DOT truck with gas a couple of miles up the road. They took I-10 west, then went north to Lockhart. They made great time once they got past Columbus. I guess it was 5:30ish when he called to say they were gassed and going down the road, and he came in our door at 7:45.
