On the South Steps of the Capitol

Please stand with all fair-minded Texans on the South steps of the State Capitol at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. There will be drummers; short speeches and most importantly, a moment of silence to demonstrate our opposition to Constitutional Amendment #2; It should prove to be a powerful statement to our State's leaders. All are welcome.

The first two speakers, Steve Wright and Jim Stewart, were featured in a lengthy story in Sunday’s Austin American-Statesman about how they met during the taping of "The Reality Show That Never Aired." The third speaker, Rev. Larry Bethune, is known for his powerful speaking voice and passion - a combination that earned him the Texas Freedom Network’s Faith and Justice Award.
