HELP! Please DU this poll.
We're in a fight to save a wonderful integrated neighborhood school from a plan to close it by the school board.

The poll is at:

www.kcbd.com

about half-way down and on the left.

Please help us on this. It's so important. I have another post on this (but I have no idea how to point you to it....) but we do have these websites if you want info. If you go there, leave a comment for the kids or the parents. We're fighting hard!

81 percent no, 19 percent yes...close it for a TV and broadcasting center? Er, I know this is just my opinion but that's just...just stoopid. The last thing these kids need is for the school board to teach them to be any more plastic...

The main portion of this is an auto mechanics and cosmetology school.

Parents to Meet to Discuss O.L. Slaton Jr.High Closure
Since the announcement parents and students have protested the closure. They've made t-shirts and even held a peaceful rally on Friday morning. A public hearing is scheduled for October 11th at 6 p.m. at the LISD Administration Building.
