So who else is digging on these cooler temps ?
Wow... I was staring to think my thermometer was broken since its been above 90 for months.

I took a walk tonight and it was actually pleasant. I hope everyone gets a chance to take an evening walk or something similar... I certainly am taking advantage of this early fall gift.

Peace and Enjoy.

2. not me. soon the Siberian air masses come....
...it was 80-something last Saturday, which was very unusual, and it won't get that hot again until may.
...in the interim....many days of below-zero weather await us.

3. We've battened our hatches for the 'blow' that's
supposed to knock us out. Yeah, right, though if I wake up in the a.m. and need a bathrobe, I'll be happy. That hasn't happened since May.
And the screens go on tomorrow!!!!
Oddly, I went swimming today; that's the first (in Oct) in 11 years here. Usually, the end of September is the absolute end of warm water. This cold front will help to dissuade any hurricanes headed this way, and for that I'm grateful!

6. Yup... I am in Austin as well and its 58 outside right now.
As for the sweaters...well anything I might say about females and sweaters is going to be inappropriate so lets leave it at that. *grin.

7. Here in East Tennessee we would be wearing sweaters this time last
year. A warm spell of near 80 in October was called an Indian summer. But now we get near 80 regularly. To make things worse, we have had so little rain that the fall colors are mostly muddy brown. Sigh...I miss the cold weather.

8. OMG.........MAZE...........I SWEAR THAT WAS THE LONGEST
summer since I've been in Texas - it beat what was it - '80, '81??? Not only that but I went on two trips this summer - to Philly and Chicago - and STILL was not able to beat the heat/humidity.

Only in the midwest do you hear words like, crisp, when it's DOWN RIGHT COLD! Ah, there's nothing like a nice fall day though. Yup, crisp!

25. Actually, most of the stuff is done from last year.
But now that its cooler I can fix our vampire's hands, which experienced a freak accident last year.

And maybe carve another tombstone or 2. :D

27. You're not the only one...
I love the heat, which is one reason why I never left Texas.

I was just about getting sick of it by last week, though. Still, these nights are a little too chilly for me. The only thing better than a warm, muggy Texas night is a warm clear texas night whern I get to drag out the telescope.

My astronomer friends in the north and Canada make fun of me cause I think anything below 60 is too cold to be out observing in.

18. Oh yes yes yes!
This morning it was a little startling, and wonderful, to open the patio door and feel cold dry air coming in instead of soup.

But the bestest part is... I'm going camping this weekend! :bounce: yay! Have had this trip planned for a couple of months, and it will be so much nicer now that I know we'll have good cool weather for hiking and even hunkering down by a campfire. :)

19. Awesome!
I turned off the A/C yesterday and cracked the windows. It was a nice 70 degrees inside today. Very nice. I love this weather.

This was a longest summer I can remember. I remember how hot it was back in 96 and 97, but they didn't bleed over into the fall like this year.

26. I love it.
I turned off the ac for the first time since April. I was sitting outside working on the computer until the battery dies (can somebody please make a laptop battery that lasts more than an hour?? Is that too much to ask?)

I am loving this weather though. So sick of the heat (and high electric bills).
