And Clemens fixing to pitch.

5. me
feels like it will never end.

I'm thrilled we are still in it, but it I fear it could end badly. We have our ace - Clemens - in and it sure seems like we should be wearing the Atlanta bullpen down a little more than we are.

12. My sister in Atlanta called in the bottom of the 16th and I couldn't
get her off the phone until the very start of the bottom of the 18th. She thought she was being cute.

Note to all: Don't call me while she's watching a playoff game of any sort and expect her to stay on the phone, unless you want to do a play by play with me.

23. That year I was living in Houston and
married to a Red Sox fan. It wasn't easy. I'm still in Houston but the Red Sox thing is taken care of.

24. Should I feel guilty for rooting for 'em then?
I'm a Mets fan, born in 1992, so really I don't know what went down in 1985. I know the WS years and 73 and 94 on well, but not those years in between.

Actually, I go to Mass with David Eckstein all the time in the offseason so that's why I'm rooting for St. Louis.

Living in Houston I'm also an Astros fan, but I grew up with the Mets. Saw Strawberry's first at bat at Shea.

25. We watched yesterday with
WestHoustonDem, Lisa0825, johncoby, David and Rachel Van Os, and about 15 or 20 of Houston's progressive activists.

Backe vs. Suppan this afternoon at 3:05. We need just a little more luck today than yesterday.
